This three (3) bedroom house was designed and constructed to ensure a worry free and comfortable life in green and healthy environment whilst being in close distance to all kind of amenities. The house, which is tastefully decorated throughout, strictly following the Cretan architecture and decorative style.

Vouves is located in an area renowned for its fish restaurants and beautiful surrounding countryside. Vouves is a typical Cretan village, famous for its olive tree, reputedly the oldest in Crete. Famous for its magnificent olive tree - reputed to be the oldest in Greece - and its wine festival which takes place every August.

Entering this cosy home, on the ground floor, one is lead to a sizeable open-plan kitchen/living/ dining area with fireplace and a vast veranda, offering mesmorising, unobstructed sea vistas.

Through a an internal staircase, we are led to the residence's basement, the three (3) bedrooms and an utility room, currently used to display traditional Cretan tools! The air-conditioned bedrooms have fitted wardrobes and access to the veranda for relaxing moments. In the house, there is a WC and a big bathroom as well.

The bright and airy living/dining area is the place to enjoy moments in front of the fireplace during colder days or sitting on the large terrace, and adore the stunning views sweeping over the village, lush green surroundings towards the crystal blue sea. The well-sized kitchen is fitted with wooden units and white goods and benefits of having direct access onto another large veranda, resulting in short and quick approach to serve your guests delicious meals whilst sitting under the stars.

The land is enclosed by a stone wall, with a wrought-iron gate. In front of the house one can park the car, as there is plenty of space available. This lovely house is surrounded by an easy to maintain garden area including lots trees and flowers, ensuring endless moments of tranquility.

For ones comfort all year round the house is provided with air-condition, central heating throughout, fireplace, solar panels, telephone and internet are connected as well.

The whole building is of stone with wooden ceilings, complementing the stone and providing a cosy and attractive living environment. In all our years, since 1994 this is among the most exceptional properties, we have ever seen! Its worth taking a closer look, don't you think?

This peaceful village and its surrounding area is a place to enjoy gentle strolls along tree lined roads, taking in the vibrant perfume of the orange trees in bloom. Stop at a traditional kafenio or tavern and sample the local olive oil and the pure Cretan wine and don't miss the tsikoudia or raki, aromatic honey and traditional fried fritters with honey.

Vouves is just a short drive from the fishing village of Kolymbari with its harbour side taverns, weekly market and local shops. An ideal base for visiting the western most side of the island including the monastry at Kolymbari, the beautiful sandy beaches of Falassarna and Elefonisi and the gorge of Deliana. The closet beach in the pretty tree lined shore of Tavronitis with its handful of local taverns. Here in the village you will find all the shops you need for day to day living. The Venetian town of Chania to the east and the historic town of Kisamoss-Kastelli to the west can be reached in around 20 minutes.

The beaches and historic villages of Tavronitis and Maleme are close by and just a short drive further takes you to the tourist resorts of Platanias and Agia Marina.

Kolymbari (also known as Kolimbari or Kolympari), located on the north-western side of the island of Crete in Greece, is a beautiful waterfront town of approximately 1000 inhabitants. The area is a mixture of green hillsides with olive trees and vineyards, a long pebble beach, numerous small hidden coves, traditional villages, monasteries, churches and sights of historical interest. It offers the chance of seclusion relaxation and at the same time being surrounded by necessary amenities.

Furnished with fish taverns and cafes along the coast gives you the chance to enjoy fresh fish, local delicacies, drink tsikoudia with the locals and day dream watching the sea.
