Old Property in CreteReference No : #05-2597
Location : Greece :: Crete :: Chania :: Municipality of Apokoronas
Category : Renovations

On a corner plot set at the upper part of the village with unobstructed views over the lush green valley towards the Cretan Sea, which can be seen on a clear day in the far, is for sale an old village property of approx 70m...

This old village property for sale is in need of total restoration, benefiting from being connected to electricity and water service, and being close to telephone connection.

The property is currently consisting of three (3) big rooms, covered by a pitched clay roof, which would enable one to create additional living space on a mezzanine, such as it was usual in many traditional Cretan homes.

In front of the house is a spacious yard, once covered and decorated with flower pots it will be a beautiful place to welcome friends, having a chat with the neighbours and enjoying the peaceful village life.

The garden area with its trees is also spacious enough to have a small swimming pool if desired or the right place for an organic vegetable and herbs garden.

Location

Neo Chorio is 22km far from the town of Chania in a hill viewing a valley of olive and orange groves. The village offers a unique traditional character combined with “kafenia” (coffee shops) for a Greek coffee or a cold gazoza (the local Cretan fizzy drink) and the best “souvlaki” in Crete! From the top of Neo Chorio northwards over the valley, the azure waters of the Mediterranean Sea are glimmering under the glory of the sun. There is the coastal village of Kalives. Kalives is now a popular tourist resort but still having preserved its Cretan traditional character.
