The village belongs to the Municipality of Kolymbari, 20km west of Chania. The location is ideal destination for those that wish to enjoy tranquil holidays. The beach in the area is sanded with clear waters. One can also explore the Spiliakos river, where one may join various water activities. The Monastery of Moni Gonia, built in the 17th century, is worth visiting.
