The lovely beaches of Kalathas and Stavros on the Akrotiri peninsula are no more than a 10 or 15 minutes drive, whilst Chania itself is just 5 minutes by car or the local bus service. For a quiet night out in rural surroundings the village of Kounoupidiana is also 5 minutes drive away and has many tavernas as well as a baker, laundromat and ATM cash machine. The region is accessible by taxis and the local bus service to reach the city of Chania.
