The area with its long sandy beach is the summer resort just outside the village. There is a variety in accommodation from large hotels to pensions and self-catering apartments and lots of restaurants, bars, nightclubs and all sorts of shops.
At a short distance you will find beautiful and picturesque villages and interesting sights and old orthodox monasteries. Furthermore here one can see the most important archaeological sights of the area.
The village occupies a typical coastal spot that reaches inland to the hills and the small villages nearby. Its beaches and easy airport access have seen its development in recent years and the area is now a well serviced, fully fledged resort town.
The four star hotel with 116 beds, operating from May to October with allotment, provides a mixed clientele of English, French and Danish guests.
The nine year old hotel is 1.500m², with a pool bar, a restaurant covered with pergola for approximately 150 persons, 150 sea loungers, a big swimming pool of 80m² and a smaller one for children . The hotel is constituted by 29, fully furnished, 4 - beded rooms of 50m2, all fitted private air conditioning, shower, kitchenette, telephone, colour TV and balconies with sea view.
Through the rooms 170.000 euro are earned per season, through bar 40.000euro, while the restaurant earns 65.000 euro and the sea loungers 50.000 euro. This is in total an income for 325.000 euro per season.
The hotel staffing requires two (2) part time servers, three (3) kitchen staff members, two (2) cleaning staff members, and two (2) barmen.
The expenses, taking in account personnel payrolls, electricity, clothing cleaning, supplies and catering, are approximately 115.000 euro.
All included and after expenses, the hotel generates a net annual income of 210.000 euro per season.
