This first floor apartment rental is just a stroll away from the Cretan Sea and the beach, with very easy access to the National Highway, ideally located between the towns of Rethymno (15km) and Chania (40km)...

This apartment is approx. 90m² and for the long term to rent, with gorgeous sea view and mountain views.

The unfurnished rental apartment is above a Cretan Traditional Tavern and accessible by external stairs, and consists of living room with balcony, kitchen (excl. appliances) with dining area, 2 bedrooms with built-in wardrobe and balconies, one full bathroom, and a small storage area above the bathroom. The apartment houses a 3rd bedroom which is closed and used by the landlord as storage.

Electricity and water are available; phone supply at the Tavern, and the landlord is currently refurbishing it and is installing 2-3 air-conditioning units (cold/warm).

The minimum rental period is 1 year.

Located close to a small village, with mainly shepherds living in, just right leaving the rat-race and finding quietness and silence, whilst amusements are close by. Nearby is one of the most beautiful sandy beaches of Crete, reaching from Kavros (1km) to Georgiopoulis (4km), where during the season many tourists, mostly families, are staying from all around the world.
In the wintertime it is very quiet (daily shopping can be done), but the towns of Chania and Rethymno are quick reachable, either by car or frequently bus transfer from Kavros. Also nearby are the famous lake of Kournas (the only sweet water lake of Crete), and the popular mountain villages of Episkopi and Argiroupolis.

Chania - Apokoronas - GEORGIOUPOLIS
Georgioupolis is a tourist, seaside village built in a plush green area at the foot of the Almiros river. The village was named after Prince George, the supreme commissioner of Crete. The beach has nice sand and is about 10 km long. Many hotels have been built on it.
Kournas Lake
Worth visiting at 5 km inwards, visitors can see the sole lake of Crete, called Kournas lake (about 65 hectares size). The lake is found among hills and rowing is very popular in the lake. The ancient name of the lake was Korissia Athena and it is said that there was once a sanctuary of the same name, although thereis no proof at this present time.
You can get to Georgioupolis by Suburban bus service from Chania or if you take the national road towards Rethimno (38 km South-East of Chania).
