The prediction that the Greek tourism in 2010 will close with a positive sign in terms of tourist arrivals to Greece was published by the Academy of Tourism Research and Studies (ATEM). In its biannual report analysis of tourism trends was indicated that in 2010 one of the scenarios developed, refers to increasing tourist arrivals to 8.6%.
In absolute numbers it is estimated that in 2010 foreign tourists will reach 15.5 million. To achieve this scenario, the College assumes that the economies of countries of origin of the Greek tourism will manage, according to all predictions, to emerge from this crisis and oil prices are near 80 dollars per barrel and the euro / dollar rate to 1.45.
The worst scenario for this year's tourist season refers to an increase of arrivals to 1.7%, if the price of oil is near 110 dollars per barrel and the euro / dollar rate to arrive at 1.55.
