Chania is a winter destination for Greeks and foreign visitors, as the figures of Chania airport arrivals show for the month of November. It is characteristic that in this year's November compared with the same month last year, an increase of 84.4% was recorded in arrivals through domestic flights.
26.041 people in total visited Chania through 264 domestic and international flights. In particular, 10.475 people arrived from Athens via the Aegean flights and 11.176 people departed from Athens while 1.654 people arrived from Thessaloniki and 1.778 individuals left to Thessaloniki.
Through Ryanair 10.706 people arrived from Athens and 11.240 people departed from Athens while 4.392 people arrived from Thessaloniki and 4.619 individuals left to Thessaloniki. Compared with November last year an increase of 53.3% was recorded on domestic flights (made 135 flights), an increase of 84.4% in arrivals (14.790 people) and an increase of 74.9% in the departed (16.826 people).
Regarding last month's international flights, the city of Chania was reached by 3.767 people and 7.065 people left, over 57 international flights. Most arrivals came from Cyprus, Great Britain and Germany.
Specifically 1.853 people arrived from Cyprus and 1.717 individuals left via 12 flights, 1.312 people arrived from Great Britain through 14 flights and 2.344 individuals left, 421 people arrived to Germany by 21 flights and 1.173 individuals left, 90 people arrived from Belgium and 377 people departed via two flights, 70 people arrived from Serbia and 70 departed through one flight etc ..
