A Cretan welcome to Russian tourists


With "Cretan" colour and traditional Cretan music was filled the car park at the airport in Heraklion "N. Kazantzakis", during the welcoming ceremony of the Russian tourists, who arrived with the first scheduled flight of the Cretan airline «Bluebird Airways», from Moscow.

The company, which since April the 1st has welcomed the new summer season flying from / to Heraklion, Rhodes, Kos - Tel Aviv, with today's flight,
launches its cooperation with the great Russian tourist agency "TEZ TOUR" for the summer season of 2012 flying:
  • from / to St. Petersburg - Heraklion
  • from / to Moscow - Heraklion, Rhodes, Kos and Corfu
  • from / to Heraklion - Kazan
  • from / to Heraklion - Rostov
Since 2008, the "TEZ TOUR", initiated by the businessman Panagiotis Stavrianakou, general representative of Greece, including also Greece to its destinations, thousands of Russians, Belarussians, Ukrainians, Baltic and Bulgarian tourists, are traveling mainly to Crete, Rhodes and Corfu and as for this year, it has enriched its program in Greece with Peloponnese and Kos and, thus reaching their destinations in Greece -sold successfully in these markets-, to number five.

The ceremony, with music, aroma and flavours of Crete, has the ultimate goal of both the emergence of Crete, as favorite destination and stimulating the optimism in the tourism sector.
