Rental Yields in Greece

The rental market relies mainly on tourists attracted by Greece's history, culture, good food, wine, and above all, good beaches. Yields from properties in Athens range from 5,5% - 7%, while similar properties in the suburbs have relatively higher yields, ranging at 6% - 7%.

Yields on seaside properties on the main islands range from 5% - 6%. Very few seaside properties are rented out on a long-term basis, and the rental most of these properties is seasonal, reaching its peak between June-September. During these months, the yields can go as high as 30%.

Properties in Athens can cost around 80.000 Euro up to 280.000 Euro, depending on the size of the property. Seaside properties on the main islands are more expensive, with prices ranging from 80.000 Euro to 350.000 Euro.

There are many off-plan properties, as well as very old stone houses in Crete. Villas and houses that were recently renovated cost from around 100.000 Euro to more than 600.000 Euro. The average price is at 2.225 per mē Euro.
