Holiday Homes - Magnet for the Chinese

Holiday Homes - "Magnet" for the Chinese

Tourism and holiday homes can attract the Chinese in our country. This is what Wu Minwen said, president of Beijing Sensgsegain Investment Management CO.ltd), the first Greek-Chinese Business Conference was held in Athens attended by representatives of tourism organizations in the country.

According to Mr Minwen, investments of around 1 billion is now ... little for the Chinese market and there are few businessmen who would invest even more to invest in Greece's tourism product and in houses in the Aegean.

Cautious attitude have the Greek tourism operators, since the arrivals of Chinese visitors in our country is still low, estimated at 10.000 for 2010. As stated, the president of the Association of Greek Tourist Enterprises Mr. Andreas Andreadis, first the Chinese tourism to Greece should strengthen and then to be some investment from China, proposing for this purpose the establishment of private marketing firm in cooperation with EOT.

The crisis, however, seems to conducive tourism as a whole, if taken under consideration that this year  more than 13 million tourists in Greece are expected, reaching levels of 2008 - and according to a research by the Ministry of Economy in cooperation with the company MC Kinsey on behalf of the troika, the role of tourism in the Greek economy will be highlighted as its contribution to GDP in 2020 will amount from 20% to 22%.
